About The Position

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for performing complex technical work at a journeyman level, focusing on the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service, and repair of electrical systems and related electro-mechanical systems. This role requires adherence to applicable Electrical Industry Codes and involves diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and estimating costs for electrical work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a certifying technical training program in electrical maintenance or completion of an electrician's apprenticeship.
• At least six years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical trade, including knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in using electrical test equipment and small hand and power tools.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, modify, service, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect and test electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions.
• Perform repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or re-wiring of circuits.
• Calculate branch circuit loads and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Determine methods and requirements for wiring circuits.
