The position is for an Electrician Technician specializing in maintenance within a protein facility, working a night shift. The role involves the installation, programming, setting, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of various electrical and electronic equipment, including metal detectors, scales, PID controllers, VFDs, PLCs, circuit boards, fuses, relays, motors, and electro-pneumatic valves. The technician will be responsible for reading and interpreting electromechanical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Key duties include performing timely repairs, routine maintenance, and preventive maintenance on equipment, as well as responding to emergency and unplanned problems. The role requires proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, megohmmeters, signal generators, and computers, along with experience using power tools like saws, drills, impacts, and grinders. The work environment may involve high heat and cold, working at heights, and in confined spaces, and requires the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. The schedule is a Third Shift (Night Shift) 2-2-3 rotation, from 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM, with a pay rate of $28.10 plus a $1.00 shift differential.
