About The Position

Electrician is responsible for the operation and upkeep of machinery in the processing plant.

Requirements

  • Must have journeyman electrician certification in state of WV and 2-5 years of maintenance electrical experience including lighting and power voltages up to 480 volts, motor controls and familiarity with national Electrical Code. It is also desirable that the candidate have some working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and/or Variable Frequency Drives.
  • Must be able to work well with others, communication with others, and have good decision-making ability.
  • Desire to be part of a proactive, motivated maintenance team.
  • Welding and other maintenance skills desired as well and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to lift 85 lbs. and be able to work at high heights.
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and possibly have to work different shifts (day, evening, or night).
  • Prefer at least two years’ experience.
  • Must complete a successful background check.
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to apply common sense.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work in cool temperatures (around 40 degrees).
  • Ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
  • Ability to multitask and work quickly.
  • Must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Good hand and eye coordination required.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding and other maintenance skills desired as well and a willingness to learn.
  • Prefer at least two years’ experience.
  • Food or production experience preferred.
  • It is also desirable that the candidate have some working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and/or Variable Frequency Drives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment.
  • Perform PM’s during production run time on a weekly basis and report deficiency to supervise.
  • Enter data into SAP.
  • Perform administrative duties and records, ie (P.M’s, logs, etc.)
  • Start the shift by making sure everything in the assigned area is running efficiently, and they will do the tasks that are assigned for the day.
  • Other duties as directed.
