Are you looking for a work opportunity that allows you to gain an education while getting paid? You'll undergo apprenticeship training and develop competencies in the Electrical field. You'll be responsible for attending external training and completing coursework within the expected timeframes. You'll train in all aspects of your chosen trade, including following standard operating procedures. You'll maintain high levels of quality, safety, and environmental awareness within the department. This program is a great way to gain valuable skills and experience in manufacturing while earning a Degree, Certifications and more. Must follow all LOTO and safety procedures, consistently. Uses precision for basic testing equipment to perform preventive maintenance activities. This includes volt ohm meters, vibration detectors, ball bar analysis, and other pieces of analytical equipment as needed. Performs servicing, testing, inspections and repairs on a variety of electrical equipment components. Cleans air cleaning units, checks fan/blower cfm, checks temperature of bearings, test motors for amperage, voltage and rpms. Maintain electromechanical equipment. Modify, maintain, or repair electrical, electronic, or mechanical components, equipment, or systems to ensure proper functioning. Assist engineers to implement electromechanical designs in industrial or other settings. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of PLCs. Other Duties as required. Apprenticeship Program Details Pre-Apprenticeship does not qualify for Benefits. Once accepted as an Apprentice All accruals and additional benefits will be applied. (401k will available at the age of 21) This is a four (4) year apprenticeship program. The hands-on, supervised, apprenticeship will be conducted at Kurz Transfer Products. The course work for this program will be held at Davidson Davie Community College (DDCC) on the assigned designated day.
