To provide a high standard of electrical maintenance support for all of Oregon Tool's PDX Metro buildings and facilities. To support Maintenance, Production, Engineering and Facility Departments. To maintain a safe working environment is of paramount importance.

Requirements

  • Education & Licensing: High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a valid Oregon State Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrical License or higher; ongoing compliance with state-mandated continuing education.
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 3+ years in industrial manufacturing electrical work with proven ability to troubleshoot and repair control systems, PLCs, variable frequency drives, and related automation equipment; experience in control panel design and fabrication.
  • Hands-On Skills: Proficient with hand tools, test equipment, and high-lift/forklift operation; capable of reading schematics and performing precise electrical/electronic maintenance tasks.
  • Professional Attributes: Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, creative thinker with initiative; computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite) and commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Build Control Systems: Evaluate requirements, design panels, wire, install, and debug systems while maintaining accurate electrical schematics and documentation.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Research and integrate new technologies to enhance safety, productivity, and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot Equipment: Diagnose and repair electrical systems, drives, PLCs, and automation equipment; perform general electrical maintenance and power distribution tasks.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: Follow NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and Oregon electrical standards; maintain state licensing and uphold a clean, organized work environment.
