About The Position

The role of the Electrician is to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and production maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans. This position is eligible for sick leave benefits, funeral leave, idle holiday pay, and, provided eligibility requirements in the Collective Bargaining Agreement are satisfied, paid temporary employee flex days.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
• Must have one (1) year experience working in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
• Must have one (1) year experience working with AC and DC electric.

Nice To Haves

• Have at least an industrial, electrical, and/or welding certifications or license.
• Have at least two (2) years of experience in AC and DC electric.
• Compliance with safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to operate shop tools, equipment, and machines related to maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
• Assist in electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
• Understand basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
• Maintain and service a range of building equipment such as HVAC, lighting, water and sewer, etc.
• Assist in the installation of new plant equipment.
• Perform all duties related to the Journeyman's position.
• Comply with all Divisional and Site initiatives such as eAM.
• Work with computers to process required paperwork.
