About The Position

To layout, install, repair, and maintain plant electrical systems.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification plus one to two years electrical trades training.
• Requires the use of shop math, wiring diagrams, handbook formulas, electrical trade knowledge, and knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary training and licensing, including but not limited to, Forklift Operation Certificate and Aircraft Operating Area License.
• Requires 1 -2 years of electrical maintenance work in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Installs low voltage electrical power distribution, lighting, and signaling systems in accordance to the National Electrical Code.
• Verifies that medium and low voltage electrical protective devices are operating safely.
• Able to read complex electrical plans, and installs electrical distribution as outlined.
• Locates electrical malfunctions in plant power distribution equipment and electrical wiring.
• Understands the use of a wide range of test equipment.
• Safely makes repairs to malfunctioning electrical distribution equipment.
• Uses lift equipment or ladders to access overhead equipment.
• Responsible for quality of own work.
• Performs other duties as required.
