The Maintenance Electrician B position involves the responsibility to layout, install, and maintain a wide variety of electrical equipment related to an industrial facility. A thorough knowledge of electricity is necessary, along with the ability to read schematics and blueprints. The role requires making electrical connections and having prior experience as an Electrician, including accredited apprentice training. The candidate should be experienced in industrial wiring and installations, and possess the ability to troubleshoot relay logic and PLC controlled equipment. The position requires working independently after receiving and reviewing assignments, as well as the ability to install and maintain AC/DC motors and controls, circuits, starters, and controls. A good understanding of hydraulics and a mechanical background in repairing equipment, welding, plumbing, and sheet metal work is also essential. Additional duties may be performed within the scope of the job and/or in the department.
