About The Position

Works under minimal supervision to perform maintenance and repair of hospital-owned equipment, including both normal and emergency power distribution systems, automatic transfer switches, and generator testing. Provides skilled repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting and lighting controls, motor controls, and specialized hospital systems such as nurse call, public address, fire alarm, and building automation systems. This position may require flexible scheduling, including varying hours, days, and occasional weekends. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a journeyman electrician, with trade school, military service, or equivalent training required, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Current California (CA) Driver's License
  • Current Journeyman Electrician Certification issued by California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR)
  • Knowledge of the trade practices and electrical codes, and ability to supervise and train others in their use.
  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Basic working knowledge of Building Automation System (BAS).
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative problem solver.
  • Computer skills required.
