The position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for clients and staff by performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks. Nature and Scope: Maintenance workers hold a position that is not generally associated with social services. It is therefore particularly important that the incumbent understand that they are part of an interdisciplinary team and share as a goal, the provision to homeless families of safe and secure shelter and also services necessary to facilitate successful relocation to permanent housing. Maintenance staff are expected to interact with clients in a supportive and positive way, maintaining as high a standard of professionalism as any other staff.
