For the Maintenance Driver, this means delivering products safely, on time, and in excellent condition while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor, following all company driving safety guidelines, and representing Adams positively during every customer interaction.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills when delivering to all customers
Successfully completing all delivers each day based on a schedule
Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality
Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values
Must be at least 21 years old along with following Adams driving rules and policies
Safely drive a personal or company owned car for all deliveries
Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 100 pounds
Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift
Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
Communicate with others to exchange information

Responsibilities

Ensure customers receive the best service by being friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and thanking them for shopping at Adams.
Deliver merchandise to homes or businesses on time, in good condition, and according to department requirements.
Coordinate and communicate delivery routes, calling customers prior to delivery to confirm time and providing updates if requested.
Record delivery times, note where items were left, and return tickets to the appropriate department.
Maintain a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and pass required and random drug tests.
Keep a cell phone on and accessible at all times during shifts for store communication.
Complete all scheduled deliveries before going home, including nursery material if assigned.
Provide personable and professional interaction with customers at every delivery.
