About The Position

In this role, you will lead employees in maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry departments to maintain our community. We are looking for someone who is not afraid of getting their hands dirty and who will lead by example.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in long term care or other facility maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED required, post high school education/training preferred
• Valid MN Driver's License.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Knowledge of mechanical and physical plant maintenance, as well as state and federal building and grounds regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Minimum class "SPECIAL" boiler operator license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange for and/or perform heating and cooling system maintenance; electrical, plumbing, and all other mechanical maintenance; lawn care and landscaping; snow and ice removal; clearing debris from outside areas; window cleaning.
• Respond to requests for maintenance in ongoing and urgent situations.
• Arrange for plant inspections to comply with state and federal regulations.
• Perform supervisory functions for both maintenance and housekeeping staff.
• Purchase supplies as needed and researches/negotiates vendor contracts.
• Assist with planning and managing the physical plant budget.
• Perform additional duties as required.
