About The Position

The Maintenance Director is responsible for operations at Lone Tree Retirement Community. This role ensures a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related training preferred
  • Previous experience in environmental services preferably in a long-term care or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of infection control, OSHA standards, and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff effectively
  • Ability to manage budgets and control departmental costs
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call as needed
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Quality assurance
  • Healthcare facility sanitation management experience
  • Public space sanitation management experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and infection control protocols
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory standards (including KDADS and CMS guidelines)
  • Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • Order, manage, and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and disposal of cleaning agents and hazardous materials
  • Collaborate with administration, nursing, maintenance, and other departments to support resident care and facility operations
  • Respond promptly to resident and staff concerns regarding environmental services
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required
  • Participate in facility meetings, quality assurance, and emergency preparedness planning
