About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead and manage a team of five maintenance technicians across our facilities and properties, inclusive of our 132-bed skilled nursing facility, 40-apartment assisted living, Hospice office and workforce housing properties. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and well-maintained environments for residents, patients, staff, and visitors. You’ll oversee daily operations, mentor your team, and help maintain high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and facility performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities or maintenance management (healthcare preferred)
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead by example in a hands-on environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications a plus
  • Ability to lift/move heavy objects and work in various conditions

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of 5 maintenance workers
  • Plan, assign, and oversee daily maintenance activities
  • Perform and/or coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
  • Respond to facility emergencies and prioritize urgent repairs
  • Conduct regular building and grounds inspections
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards of the department of public health, local health and safety inspections and life safety code
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
