About The Position

The Maintenance Director at Allegro Management Company is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational aspects of the community, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for residents. This role involves managing maintenance personnel, coordinating safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulations while maintaining high standards of service and care.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of 2 years maintenance-related experience in senior living, hospitality, apartment complex, or similar background.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.
  • Positive Criminal Background Screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school diploma preferred.
  • EPA 608 Certification preferred.
  • OSHA and pool maintenance certification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Director in maintaining and operating the physical aspects of the Community.
  • Organize, participate in, direct, and supervise the Community maintenance program.
  • Recruit, train, manage, motivate, and evaluate Maintenance personnel according to Company policies.
  • Schedule Maintenance personnel to ensure appropriate staffing, including weekends and emergencies.
  • Oversee and monitor the accounting of hours worked by Maintenance personnel using the time clock system.
  • Prepare the Maintenance budget within approved guidelines and discuss future projects with the Executive Director.
  • Complete monthly maintenance task list items and review with the Executive Director.
  • Coordinate the Community Safety Committee and conduct regular meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with ACHA regulations and life safety codes.
  • Check and maintain the Building Life safety system daily.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors to ensure timely completion of work.
