About The Position

The Maintenance Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of all common areas within the apartment community, as well as preparing apartments for new residents. This role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the property meets high standards of appearance and functionality.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as invoices, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in various forms.

Responsibilities

• Clean the Rental Center, Recreation Building, pool area, exercise facility, restrooms, and jacuzzi area, including trash removal, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning windows.
• Clean laundry rooms, including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down machines and surfaces.
• Patrol grounds each morning for litter removal.
• Clean entryways and stairwells, removing leaves, debris, and cobwebs.
• Sweep and blow off sidewalks and parking areas, including dumpster areas, and move garbage bins on designated days.
• Perform daily watering as required.
• Conduct exterior painting, repairs, and pool/spa maintenance.
• Clean and paint interiors of apartments to prepare for new move-ins.
