About The Position

The Maintenance/Custodial Worker II reports to the Maintenance/Custodial Worker I, and is responsible for assisting with all cleaning of retail stores, floor buffing/waxing of retail stores, groundskeeping at multiple job site locations, and serve as a backup for other Custodial contracts. The Maintenance/Custodial Worker II is expected to demonstrate a culture of PRIDE (Passion, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence).

FUNCTION:

Work as a team by assisting the Maintenance/Custodial Worker I with routine maintenance, cleaning, floor buffing and groundskeeping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in commercial maintenance, cleaning, floor buffing, and groundskeeping.

Responsibilities

• Work as a team by assisting the Maintenance/Custodial Worker I with routine maintenance, cleaning, floor buffing and groundskeeping.
• Demonstrate a culture of PRIDE.
• Assist with routine maintenance duties and repairs.
• Groundskeeping: Mow lawn, trim shrubs, water plants and grass, apply fertilizer and apply pesticides.
• Forward feedback, issues, and problems to the Maintenance/Custodial Worker I as appropriate.
• Assures that services are performed according to prescribed methods and meet established standards set by Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi.
• Maintains a safe work environment; ensures adequate security and compliance with safety and environmental regulations as well as with company health and safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
