About The Position

The Maintenance Crew Lead must accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all airplanes and inspections as required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position involves performing regular maintenance on aircraft, project management, analyzing blueprints and work orders, ensuring proper working conditions of mechanical systems, maintaining records of maintenance, and inspecting various aircraft components for defects. The role also includes installing new parts, repairing sheet metal, and identifying mechanical problems based on inspections or reports from pilots or crew.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • 3 years of experience performing hands-on Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and interactions.
  • Thorough knowledge of current FAA regulations, IPM, and ATA codes.
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
  • Must provide two forms of Federal Identification.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience performing hands-on Aircraft Maintenance.
  • Prior experience with Corridor.
  • Candidates with Business Corporate Jet experience will be given priority.
  • Scissor Lift Certified (Preferred).
  • Forklift Certified (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Performs regular maintenance on aircraft.
  • Accurately estimates work time and materials for assigned tasks.
  • Analyzes blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches to troubleshoot, repair, and install parts.
  • Ensures proper working condition of mechanical systems before flight.
  • Maintains records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and reports related to parts or services.
  • Inspects engines, wings, propellers, and other parts for defects.
  • Inspects hoses and lubricates joints; replaces any that need repair.
  • Consults maintenance manuals and specifications for operations and specifications.
  • Installs new parts to replace or repair defective parts.
  • Repairs sheet metal as needed.
  • Ensures proper function of engines and operating systems via tests and tools.
  • Identifies and resolves mechanical problems based on inspections or reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
