About The Position

Responsible for maintenance (preventive, predictive, corrective, and special projects) planning, preparation, schedule development, and maintenance coordination for 1 Combined Cycle Plant consisting of 2 Combustion Turbine/Generators, 2 Heat Recovery Steam Generators, and Steam Turbine/Generator, along with all associated auxiliary equipment, including monitoring and coordinating milestones and action items; budget and scope development and control; self-assessment and performance monitoring; improvement initiatives, and risk assessment. Responsible for administering the Conduct of Maintenance Program and ensuring compliance within the program for the facility, facilitating post-work critiques, and identifying actions necessary to improve future maintenance. Responsible for providing reliable and efficient electric power generation in compliance with corporate safety policies and procedures, mandatory electric reliability standards, FERC, EPA, EPD, OSHA, DOT, and all applicable governmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or engineering technology is preferred.
  • Eight (8) years minimum outage maintenance and management experience in an operating commercial electric power generating plant is desired.
  • Experience with using a CMMS, with preference given to Maximo.
  • Candidates with a two (2) year technical degree plus ten (10) years of directly related maintenance and management experience in an electrical power plant environment or twelve (12) years of directly related maintenance and management experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Visit work sites and identify any safety hazards or other potential problems that need to be documented.
  • Estimate what craft groups it will take to do the job and also how long it should take to do the job.
  • Determine the material needed, reserve the stock items, and order non-stock materials.
  • Ensure all required resources, labor, materials, tools; rental equipment, contractors, etc. are ready before the work is scheduled.
  • Develop and track craft/crew backlogs.
  • Track the labor capacity for each week to ensure an accurate schedule can be produced.
  • Prepare a weekly schedule to be given to the Plant O&M Supervisors.
  • Track work orders to completion in the computerized maintenance management system (Maximo).
  • Interface with management, outage coordinator, craft, operations, and specialized positions to resolve planning and scheduling issues.
