SUMMARY: The Maintenance Coordinator schedules planned and unplanned maintenance to ensure that equipment, parts, and systems are operating efficiently; collaborates with maintenance workers on equipment, parts and systems that need replacement and communicates these needs to purchasing or management. The Maintenance Coordinator also monitors maintenance activities to ensure that daily maintenance tasks and goals are met timely and accurately while evaluating current maintenance schedules and plans new maintenance orders around existing schedule to ensure no scheduling conflicts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Proficiency with MS Office, with emphasis on Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment preventative maintenance plans, issue weekly preventative maintenance orders.
  • Intake unplanned maintenance requests and delegate appropriate resources to fulfill maintenance orders.
  • Prioritize and assist with the dispatching of mechanics per production demands.
  • Assist with the planning of major maintenance work such as fabrication, modification and installation of new and existing equipment and cost improvement and modernization projects.
  • Work with maintenance team daily to receive maintenance updates and provides additional resources or time as needed.
  • Daily entry, tracking and work order backlog administration.
  • Information gathering for the Maintenance and department and input into the computerized plant maintenance system.
  • Establish, maintain, and track record keeping requirements within the Maintenance departments, i.e., downtime and equipment history; provide reports to management on maintenance activities.
  • Perform general administrative/clerical duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
