Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience in PLCs or a certificate of training in process control and automation, with a focus in PLCs.
  • High comfort level reading electrical and mechanical diagrams.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Program electronic components such as computers, VFDs, PLCs, and other modules.
  • Manage the plant's electrical needs, including installation of new equipment, as well as maintenance, repair, and rebuild of existing machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and track progress on open work orders, ensuring timely resolution of issues, escalating to plant partners as necessary.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids for special projects.
  • Coordinate, supervise, evaluate and assign work to subcontractors.
  • Conduct scheduled audits of all electrical systems in the plant and develop action plans to maintain compliance with current NEC, which may necessitate the interaction with government agencies as well as other inspection groups.
  • Install and repair electrical panels, motors, starters, and other electrical components.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
  • Serve on cross-functional committees and task forces, assisting in the training of new plant team members.
  • Abide by Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
  • Inform direct and indirect supervision of any critical matters immediately.
  • Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, notifying immediate supervisor of any food safety and/or quality issues.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
