About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Maintenance Control Clerk to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Maintenance Control Clerk will be a key staff member at the on-site maintenance control center. Typical functions include performing a variety of clerical tasks involved in scheduling and controlling of maintenance and repair of Material Handling equipment, construction equipment, vehicles, facilities/real property, and other site assigned equipment. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Responsibilities Include: Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations. Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. May be required to work overtime. Perform a variety of clerical tasks involved in scheduling and controlling of maintenance and repair of Material Handling equipment, construction equipment, vehicles, facilities/real property, and equipment. Work from moderately detailed instructions and exercise limited discretion concerning time, method and order of performance. Performs basic queries within the Maximo system. Prepares and exports various reports into Excel. Maintains the Lock Out Tag Out program and the Centralized Permit Center. Process and enter fuel logs. Maintains customer satisfaction reports and provide feedback to management staff. Maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Receive, edit, and process work requests and trouble call(s) pertaining to maintenance of equipment and facilities/real property and contact appropriate branch or section for repair in emergency. Prepare work orders involving major repair or maintenance of equipment/facilities using the CMMS. Distribute trip tickets to the appropriate areas. Input appropriate utilization data in data base from returned trip tickets. Prepare correspondence and reports. Compile data for CDRL submission. Initiate and maintain necessary records to facilitate planning and scheduling. Verify man-hours and material costs on equipment/facilities for input into the history files. Total and apply labor and material costs to work orders. Delivers all outgoing mail and packages to the U.S. Post Office. Picks up all incoming mail and packages from the U.S. Post Office. Develops and maintains records of all incoming and outgoing certified, registered, and special delivery letters and packages. Requires the ability to lift/carry mail sack weighing up to forty-nine pounds on a regular basis. Work requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment when dealing with privileged information. Maintains high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations; treat all individuals fairly and with respect. Reports potential and known safety and environmental concerns to the appropriate personnel or department. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least18 years old.
  • 0-1 year of general work experience.
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be willing and able to work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record and be willing to work overtime.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a procedurally and safety compliant environment.
  • Must be willing and able to wear various levels of personal protective equipment.
  • Good clerical skills with data processing skills required.
  • Data and numerical entry proficient with a high level of accuracy.
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-orientated work.
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to learn, understand and follow written instructions.
  • Basic understanding of trade shop responsibilities.
  • Display positive and effective customer services skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs is required.
  • Must be able to perform work duties, routinely, in a safe and effective manner, remain alert and aware of potential work/safety hazards at all times, and especially alert while performing safety sensitive duties.
  • Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include ability to react to any emergency, exercise or contingency conditions.
  • Ability to complete and maintain required training outlined in Amentum’s Master Training Plan.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and pass a MVR check.
  • Must also be able to obtain a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and be favorably vetted through the NCIC III System. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain both of these clearances.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
