About The Position

This is supervisory work or highly skilled work in the general maintenance, repair and/or construction of buildings, tractor repair and service, and plumbing, heating/cooling, and/or electrical systems. Work is performed in accordance with maintenance schedules across assigned facilities. Special repair assignments are received by work orders from authorized personnel. Work requires the exercise of initiative and judgment in the application of various technical trade skills to a variety of maintenance, repair and/or construction problems and in determining the extent of repair or replacement work to be done. Employees may perform a wide variety of highly technical tasks independently at and above the journeyman level. Work also involves supervision of employees engaged in journeyman level work involving: - Electrical - Plumbing - Masonry - Heating and air - Carpentry - Cabinet making - Roofing - Painting - Heavy equipment service and operation

Requirements

• High school or General Educational Development diploma and two (2) years of experience in the performance of the full range of journey level tasks associated with two (2) or more highly complex mechanical or building trades; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
