About The Position

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Store Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean sales floor through sweeping, mopping, cleaning, and waxing, as well as other maintenance related assignments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age and 18 yrs. of age to perform certain functions/tasks
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding maintenance operations, safety, and sanitation
• Ensure safe and clean floor conditions, including sweeping, mopping, and clearing all unsafe conditions
• Maintain clean store appearance through emptying garbage cans, cleaning chrome, mirrors, windows, ledges, displays, carpets, restrooms, break room, maintenance, and Meat Dept. equipment (where applicable) according to company sanitation policies
• Keep adequate cleaning/waxing supplies (where applicable)
• Maintain hand soap/towels in restrooms
