About The Position

Mars Petcare is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to join our exciting pet food business at a Fort Smith, AR manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. The maintenance clerk will use SAP to perform scheduled inventory counts, ensuring stock levels are accurate. Results will be reported to the Reliability Managers and the S&F co-pilot. The clerk will also track and provide information on parts usage to support the maintenance budget. When associates request parts using a Work Order (WO) in SAP, the clerk will retrieve and check out the required items. SAP will also be used to receive, label, and store parts in the crib, parts tower, and storage shed. The maintenance clerk will work closely with Planner/Schedulers, system technicians, and the Reliability Manager to help assemble work order kits and preventive maintenance (PM) packages. Receiving duties include physically accepting materials, entering them into the SAP stockroom system, and notifying the site buyer. This position is to maintain the spare part inventory and materials for the facility so that the material Is available and ready to use when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Excel, work, and PowerPoint
  • Forklift operation
  • Exceptional math skills
  • Computer literate with ability to enter, record, maintain and retrieve Information In a computer-based data collection system.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • 2+ years in a high-speed food-manufacturing/automated environment
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Food Manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP experience a plus In Storeroom management
  • Stockroom experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory management of the maintenance crib/parts tower/maintenance storage building/oil room
  • Security of the inventory
  • Reorder/replenish stock items
  • SAP Entries, Cycle Counts, and other transactions
  • Receiving parts and stocking of parts into the maintenance crib/storage building/parts tower/oil room
  • Management of storage of specialized tools housed in the crib
  • Parts kitting for work orders
  • Physically receiving new inventory deliveries, then entering them into the SAP system, and communicating to site buyer
