JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, to perform carpentry maintenance and repair work in resident manors and community facilities. To perform related work as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Remodels, repairs and rebuilds existing residential buildings. Repairs or installs grab bars, weather stripping, rain gutters, downspouts, screen doors, windows, doors and door locks. Modifies or installs walls, partitions and dividers. Repairs roof leaks, installs caulking, plasters and stucco surfaces. Repairs patio roofs, installs/repairs sliding glass doors. Assists other crews in building maintenance during peak workloads as assigned. Drives a truck and maintains a truck inventory of materials and supplies. Regular attendance required. All duties performed on-site for the Community. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Follows up on assigned written resident complaint requests, corrects problems, discusses with residents or refers to a supervisor and notes disposition. Maintains job time and material records.
