Automation Maintenance Manager The Maintenance Manager is the overall owner of maintenance strategy, asset reliability, and technical capability for the site. This role is accountable for ensuring the long-term health, availability, and performance of all automated material handling equipment (MHE), building systems, and infrastructure. The Maintenance Manager sets standards, leads technical strategy, and ensures maintenance execution aligns to safety, uptime, cost, and throughput goals. This role is not shift -based and is focused on systems, capability, and outcomes, not day to- day task assignment. KEY RESONSIBILITIES Asset Reliability & Strategy · Own site level- asset reliability strategy, including PM programs, predictive maintenance, condition-based- monitoring, and lifecycle planning. · Ensure automation uptime supports operational throughput, peak readiness, and service commitments. · Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for systemic or repeat failures and ensure corrective actions are permanently embedded. · Partner with Engineering, Controls, and Operations on continuous improvement and system optimization initiatives. Maintenance Program Ownership · Define and standardize PM, PdM, and corrective maintenance standards across all equipment. · Own CMMS strategy (data integrity, work order quality, failure coding, backlog health). · Drive spare parts strategy, critical spares identification, inventory optimization, and supplier performance. · Establish maintenance KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, PM compliance, downtime, cost per unit). People & Capability Leadership · Lead, coach, and develop Maintenance Area Managers, Engineers, and technical specialists. · Build bench strength and succession plans for key technical roles. · Define training standards and certification paths for technicians. · Own staffing models aligned to automation complexity and risk. Vendor & Financial Management · Own maintenance budget, forecasting, and cost control. · Manage OEMs, integrators, and service providers with clear SLAs and performance expectations. · Evaluate make vs- -buy decisions and vendor dependency risk. · Lead contract negotiations and service scope governance. Safety, Compliance & Risk · Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, LOTO, and regulatory requirements. · Lead risk assessments related to equipment, aging assets, and single points of failure. · Own site maintenance risk register and mitigation plans.
