About The Position

MAINTENANCE ATTENDANT: Maintenance Attendant to perform the following duties under the direction of the Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer or Stationary Engineer. Maintenance Attendant may perform the following limited duties without direct supervision of the Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer or Stationary Engineer: Founded in 2012, UG2 is privately held and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. Responsibilities

  • Repairs on toilet facilities including soap dispensers.
  • Clearing drains by means of plunger and handheld auger.
  • Perform general labor, such as carrying, stacking, and sorting of materials used in and around the job site, as well as debris removal.
  • Using Employer supplied vehicle, travel for parts and supplies.
  • Repairs on registers and radiators.
  • Minar repairs on furniture and floors.
  • Maintaining and/or replacing door hardware.
  • Repair of floor maintenance equipment and venetian blinds.
  • Maintenance painting in equipment rooms, cooling towers and other touch-ups in building facilities.
  • General cleaning in mechanical spaces and perimeter induction units.
  • Clean up job site and equipment by means of vacuum, mop, broom, floor scrubber, waxer, steam cleaner, high pressure spray cleaner, as well as other types of cleaning devices or equipment.
  • Cleaning and painting of non-operating mechanical equipment which has been shut down, locked out and tagged by a Journeyman Engineer in accordance with A1iicle XXI - Safety Lockout Program.
  • Miscellaneous handyman work requiring the limited use of hand tools.
  • Cleaning roof drains, air vents, registers and radiators.
  • Replacing lamps and cleaning light fixtures.
  • Maintenance of toilet facilities, excluding energized systems.
  • Replacing ceiling tiles not affecting fire sprinkler systems and other energized systems.
  • Minar repairs of furniture and floors.
  • Replacing air filters.
  • Cleaning of engineering shop areas.
  • Replacing fire extinguishers.
  • Hanging framed objects that does not require the use of power tools other than cordless drill/drivers.
