About The Position

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and fully functioning facility by performing routine maintenance and minor repairs, completing major and daily cleaning projects, monitoring building systems, managing work orders, coordinating with staff and vendors, conducting inspections, and engaging in ongoing training while supporting multiple locations as needed.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Prior experience with electricial work, plumbing, and/or painting
  • Driver's license

  • Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day
  • Climb up and down up to 3 flights of stairs at a time
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Job duties may need to be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Must be able to reach in all directions and climb a ladder, when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on building systems, equipment, and fixtures, including lighting, plumbing, and basic carpentry. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address safety hazards, maintenance needs, and cleanliness standards. May travel to other locations occasionally for support or be available evenings and weekends.
  • Responsible for major cleaning projects such as: painting (interior and exterior), stripping and waxing floors, rug and carpet cleaning. Responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance as well as making sure assigned building(s) are consistently cleaned to provide a safe work environment. Performs daily cleaning duties, including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning walls, windows, restrooms, emptying and cleaning trash containers, when needed.
  • Monitor building-related mechanical systems. Handle work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Attend developmental trainings as requested. Handle work orders in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. Communicate with and collaborate with onsite property management and property staff to ensure all maintenance needs are met within assigned facility. Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed and report major repair needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, restrooms, and exterior grounds, including trash removal and basic janitorial duties. Work collaboratively with other employees
  • Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.
