About The Position

Provides a variety of non-routine and semiskilled duties in maintaining buildings and equipment at the community

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Trade school preferable
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Must possess knowledge of maintenance operations, hand and power tools and mechanical ability
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations

Nice To Haves

• Experience with “The WorxHUB” CMMS preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders as assigned, through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), to repair or install equipment and machinery or assist residents and/or customers with general maintenance needs
• Conducts equipment maintenance, testing, lubricating, and cleaning machinery and reporting any equipment malfunctions, repairs or replaces defective items and maintains operational logs
• Assists in maintaining the appearance of the main buildings, outside buildings and grounds, including snow removal and salting
• Utilizes hand and power tools, following all necessary safety procedures
• May be responsible for conducting inspections and drills (“Life Safety”) including but not limited to sprinkler inspections, fire drills, electrical inspections, bed inspections etc.
• Follows infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, trash/waste storage and disposal and wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling waste and chemical agents.
• Follows all safety procedures and protocol as dictated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations and reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Required to remain on-call, when assigned; Performs on-call duties as scheduled
