About The Position

The Maintenance Associate is primarily responsible for housekeeping, cleaning, and various manual labor duties across communal areas including the Warehouse, Blending, Maintenance Shop, Concrete Truck Court, Rail-Road Tracks, Parking Lots, Retention Pond, and other areas as directed by the Maintenance Manager. Key tasks involve ensuring these areas are clean and free of “fugitive” pellets, cleaning drain baskets, picking up litter and trash, and performing other assigned cleaning duties. The role requires adherence to safety practices and company policies, accurate, timely, and safe execution of assignments, identification and reporting of potential hazards, and commitment to OCS Blue & OSHA Safety facility standards.

Requirements

Ability to operate a Forklift.
Be able to perform all physical requirements of the job and work in a safe manner.
Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
Ability to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure communal areas (Warehouse, Blending, Maintenance Shop, Concrete Truck Court, Rail-Road Tracks, Parking Lots, Retention Pond, and any other area indicated by Maintenance Manager) are clean and free of “fugitive” pellets (“Floor Sweep” - spill control).
Ensure all drain baskets (30x30” and round drains) from truck court and blending operation areas are clean and free of pellets.
Pick up litter and trash from ground and landscaping areas.
Pick up trash and recycle items from designated cleaning stations and dumpsters.
Perform cleaning tasks as indicated by direct supervisor.
Work following safety practices and company rules and policies.
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
Identify potential hazards and report to immediate supervisor.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Commit to OCS Blue & OSHA Safety facility standard.
