Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts, conveyor systems, carousels, and other machinery
  • Maintain lighting, exterior grounds (including gates and lights), and electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical systems
  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures or coordinate vendor repairs with the Facilities Supervisor
  • Install new electrical wiring, equipment, and systems; troubleshoot and repair existing systems
  • Perform interior painting and recommend requisitions for maintenance materials
  • Inspect electrical, HVAC, plumbing, conveyor, and other essential equipment on a scheduled basis
  • Troubleshoot and repair down equipment promptly
  • Interface with vendors and supplier representatives as needed
  • Identify and address safety hazards immediately
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and oversee capital and repair projects
  • Follow safe work practices and policies, including driving rules and hazardous materials handling
  • Operate various hand and power tools in compliance with safety procedures
