Some training in industrial electrical/electronic and/or experience in an industrial environment is required. Shift Maintenance troubleshoot and repair production equipment when breakdown occur and install replacement parts as needed from on-site stock room. They must make the necessary repairs safely and as proficient as possible to minimize machine down-time. They may replace items such as pumps, motors, drive chain, shafts, bearings, sprockets, drive belts, sheaves, circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire. They also periodically inspect all equipment to ensure they are operating properly and locate and correct problems before breakdowns occur. Role Responsibilities: Ideal candidate must posses and exhibit: Troubleshooting skills with High-Voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase power. Troubleshooting skills with Low-Voltage control circuits including computer-based controls. Test equipment operation including Digital multi-meters and Amp meters. Ability to test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance. Ability to troubleshoot pneumatics and hydraulic systems.Ability to repair or replace industrial mechanical/electrical/electronic components and other related devices. Help with total preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records using maintenance connection (MC) or other computerized maintenance management information system (CMMIS). Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation/production equipment. Performs maintenance, set-up and PM on automation/production equipment Schematic reading and electrical symbol identification. Utilizes computer-based inventory system for generating reports to locating spare parts. Perform Maintenance Connection day-by-day duties. Performs quality work within reasonable time standards set forth by management in verbal or written instructions. Utilizes mandatory safety equipment. Executes duties in a safe and efficient manner. Adheres to all Safety rules and regulations. Assists maintenance/production staff as needed. May assist in the training of other employees. Ability to work alone or as a member of a team. Be flexible with schedule as needed. Responsible for ensuring area(s) of responsibility are safe, clean and tidy. Follows all Company established rules and policies.
