About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant at Sun City Gardens is responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is well-maintained and ready for resident use. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Degree or certificate from a two-year technical school program preferred.
• Demonstrated success in a similar position.
• Valid First Aid Certification and valid Driver's License may be required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of work orders.
• Assist with move-in/out details.
• Prepare/repair rooms for resident use.
• Repair plumbing fixtures.
• Repair electrical apparatus.
• Repair appliances.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in floors.
• Perform door removal and installation.
• Repair door locks and make adjustments.
• Perform wall texturing, painting, wall repairs and wallpapering.
