Maintenance Assistant
About The Position
We are looking for an experienced and motivated maintenance assistant to join our growing team in Williamsville, NY. About us: Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community unlike any you’ve ever seen. Maintenance assistant position details: We are hiring for a Full Time overnight position. The scheduled hours are Monday - Friday, 12am - 8am.
Requirements
- Three (3) years of maintenance related employment is preferred.
- Must have basic maintenance knowledge including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, etc.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed.
- Perform preventive maintenance audits as directed.
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility.
- Promptly answers and responds to emergency situations as first responders.
- Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be.
- Aid with valet parking of residents’ automobiles.
- Use the department radios to communicate with other maintenance technicians and promptly respond.
- Prepare written reports as necessary.
