About The Position

Carefree Living by Oxford Living in Ely and Babbitt MN are looking for a full time Maintenance Assistant to join our growing and established Assisted Living communities. Schedule: Position is Full-Time , with weekend or after-hours as necessary in an emergency situation. This position will be responsible for Ely and Babbitt facilities

Requirements

Candidates must be hard working and self-motivated.
Proven work history available to verify mechanical skill level is required.
Position requires the ability to accurately and independently direct and follow through on work activities.
Candidates must be willing to interact with others
Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study and must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field is preferred.
Experience in the senior housing industry preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance
General repairs
Painting and maintaining interior and exterior of the building
Mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, shoveling, snow removal etc.
Attend to parking area and yard-property for orderly appearance and clean of debris
Prepare resident rooms upon vacancy
Perform duties of carpet and floor cleaning
Ensure that they have the proper tools and equipment necessary to complete the essential functions of their maintenance position
