Maintenance Assistant
About The Position
The Maintenance Assistant aids in maintaining the community to be a safe, clean, and comfortable environment by conducting routine maintenance and repairs inside and outside the community, installing and servicing equipment, and preparing apartments for resident move-ins. This full-time hourly position involves performing a variety of maintenance repairs, responding to requests from residents and associates, cleaning and preparing apartment homes for new residents, ensuring proper storage of supplies, and continuously monitoring the community and grounds for proper and safe maintenance.
Requirements
- Prior Maintenance, Housekeeping and/or Janitorial experience.
- Positive attitude and love working with people!
- Like to be busy with a variety of tasks.
- Go-to person whenever someone needs something fixed!
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year hands-on maintenance or related experience
- Knowledgeable of maintenance and housekeeping practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the community
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of Maintenance repairs such as fixing faucets, replacing light fixtures, helping implement safety protocols, painting and more!
- Respond to Maintenance requests from our residents and from fellow associates.
- Clean and prepare apartment homes for new residents.
- Ensure proper storage of all maintenance supplies.
- Continuously monitor all areas of the community and grounds to ensure they are properly and safely maintained.
- Help team members set up activities and events at the community.
