About The Position

Are you an experienced Maintenance Assistant looking to work for an amazing organization by serving others and connecting with your co-workers? Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full Time Evenings Maintenance Assistant to work at Pacific Springs located at 805 South 173rd Court, Omaha, NE 68118. Pacific Springs has 67 independent living apartment homes, 52 independent living patio homes, 35 assisted living and 12 memory support apartment homes. Adjacent to Pacific Springs Golf Course. The schedule for this position is Monday- Friday 11:30AM-8PM with an on-call rotation every 5 weeks. Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Trade or Vocational Schooling is preferred
  • Equivalent years of work may substitute for education requirement.
  • One (1) year of facilities maintenance or related experience is required.
  • Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures building and equipment are in working order by performing preventative maintenance and repairing damage
  • Completes work orders in a timely fashion.
  • Conducts general carpenter work using common hand and power tools.
  • Diagnoses mechanical problems.
  • Assembles structures such as furniture or pipe systems.
  • Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates equipment.
  • Paints and patches walls, equipment, and structures.
  • Assembles, installs, and repairs electrical wiring.
