About The Position

This position requires personal contact with residents, a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations. You must be able to work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision. Position Highlights: Heavy duty cleaning, grounds care, maintenance of institutional equipment and vehicles. Planting flowers, spraying for insects and diseased flowers and shrubs, weeding, watering, and spreading mulch. Painting Repairs Turing rooms in a timely Scheduled maintenance Cleaning and maintain carpet Keep records of work performed. Ability to use computer Coordinate work with other departments so as not interrupt patient care or normal business functions. Able to be on call for emergencies. Perform or direct duties concerned with maintenance of grounds, parking lots, driveways, etc. May include gardening, landscaping, cleaning-up, snow removal, etc (except that performed under service contract). Perform or direct heavy custodial duties such as scrubbing and buffing, cleaning, storage, utility areas, washing walls, ceilings, outside windows, changing screens and storm windows, changing light bulbs in ceiling fixtures and cleaning duties in very high places, removing and disposing of garbage and trash. Run errands, handles incoming and outgoing freight, lift and moves heavy furniture and equipment, and other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor or administrator. Responsible for the care and use of supplies and maintenance equipment used in performance of duties. Regular inspection of property and equipment for compliance with safety regulations. Able to cooperate with other partners. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Maintenance experience preferred, not required
  • H-VAC experience preferred, not required
  • High school graduate or graduate of a technical school.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals. Knowledge of local codes and ordinances. Knowledge of safety regulations.
