BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position) : Maintains grounds of The Mill Casino·Hotel & RV Park parking lots and assists Maintenance personnel when needed by performing the following duties.

  • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests, report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Fill propane tanks
  • Clean showers, toilets, and laundry facility in the RV Park
  • Clean & Service equipment in the Laundry Mill
  • Cuts lawns.
  • Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls.
  • Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs.
  • Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides.
  • Rakes and bags leaves for disposal.
  • Cleans grounds and removes litter.
  • Sweeps/shovels derbies from walks and driveways.
  • Assist maintenance workers when needed.
  • Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
  • Waters lawn and shrubs.
  • Repairs fences, gates, walls, and walks.
  • Paints fences and outbuildings.
  • Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts.
  • Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears.
  • Makes minor repairs on equipment.
  • Pick up and deliver tools, supplies and equipment both on the grounds and locally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly desired with one to three months of related general labor experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and work experience.
  • OR Driver's License in good standing highly desirable.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free workplace policies.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands.
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately.
