About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Assistant to work at Lakeside, a senior living community located at 17475 Frances Street, Omaha, NE 68130. Lakeside has been recognized as “Best of Omaha” in the senior living category for 15 years, offering 89 independent, 49 assisted living, and 12 memory support apartment homes, along with 18 lofts. The role involves working 10AM-7PM or 9AM-6PM Monday-Friday, with an on-call rotation every 5 weeks. Pay will be determined based on experience, certifications, skills, and education. Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Equivalent years of work may substitute for education requirement.
• One (1) year of facilities maintenance or related experience is required.
• Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.

• Trade or Vocational Schooling is preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensures building and equipment are in working order by performing preventative maintenance and repairing damage.
• Completes work orders in a timely fashion.
• Conducts general carpenter work using common hand and power tools.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems.
• Assembles structures such as furniture or pipe systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts.
• Cleans and lubricates equipment.
• Paints and patches walls, equipment, and structures.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs electrical wiring.
