Requirements

  • Have a thorough understanding of the best maintenance practices
  • The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English Language
  • The possession of an active driver’s license in the State of employment.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and a willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity and physical level in which they are currently functioning

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required
  • Have a Technical Schooling in electrical, plumbing, HVAC or mechanical is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Providing preventative maintenance and repairs to facility equipment, furnishings and property.
  • Assisting with the implementation of a facility wide maintenance program that ensures the safety and well-being of residents, staff and visitors
  • Following established maintenance tasks according to policy and procedures and facility quality assurance standards
  • Maintaining all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual and seasonal preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and property
  • Performing unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed
  • Coordinating with other departments work schedules to avoid interference and unnecessary interruption
