About The Position

Sunnyvale Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep, safety, and overall appearance of our post-acute care facility. This role is essential to ensuring a comfortable and well-maintained environment for our residents, visitors, and staff. Requirements

• Previous maintenance or facilities experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of building systems and hand tools
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical tasks as required
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Must be able to pass background screening per facility requirements

Nice To Haves

• Previous maintenance or facilities experience in healthcare or senior living

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and repair of the facility, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and respond promptly to maintenance requests
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment
• Support groundskeeping and exterior maintenance as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and infection control policies
• Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the Maintenance Director
• Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and minor renovations
