About The Position

Maintenance Assistant Position Overview Maintain lubrication of all equipment, complete minor repairs, cleaning, and painting of equipment and facility, keeping things orderly and organized. Maintenance Assistant Essential Functions Cleanliness in all areas of the facility. Clean and wipe down machines, presses. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Painting floors, walls, equipment, and guardrails. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Equipment maintenance i.e. daily lubrication schedule and minor repairs. Other duties as assigned. Maintenance Assistant Required Experience Able to stoop, bend, reach and lift adhering to all safety procedures. Able to be a self-motivator working independently. Able to lift, move, and maneuver power-cleaning equipment up to 50 pounds safely. Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers. Knowledge of general carpentry and repair. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experienced forklift operator. Maintenance Assistant Physical Demands and Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts. Frequently required lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds. Frequently required standing, bending, squatting, and reaching with hands and arms. Regularly required to stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and hear. Ability to use hand tools. Ability to read applicable instructions. Requirements
