About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, the Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations. This role involves sustaining a preventative maintenance program to ensure the proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for completing all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently. Duties also include mechanically repairing, replacing, and/or installing minor equipment, hardware, and controls, with the scope of work cleared by the Executive Director. The position requires maintaining water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment, associated equipment, and community plumbing systems. Additionally, the Maintenance Assistant performs exterior maintenance duties and participates in fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members, engaging with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner that reflects values of love, compassion, and dignity.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent required
  • Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Senior living experience desired
