About The Position
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for various administrative tasks associated within the shop department
Responsibilities
- Answer phone calls from drivers and assist them with mechanical issues or facilitate a repair service
- Generate and communicate purchase order numbers for on-road repair work.
- Track repair receipts/invoices and submit for payment.
- Coordinate with local repair companies on the transport of equipment.
- Monitor trailer DOT inspections and track trailers that are due for service.
- Coordinate and monitor downtime on road break downs.
- Shadow and understand truck mechanic repairs.
- Basic grounds and building repairs as needed if experienced and trained.
- Engage in other projects and activities as necessary to the position and as assigned by your supervisor.
- Participate in and contribute to all other tasks and initiatives as is necessary and as it relates to the goals of the company. i.e., Committees, work and focus groups.
