Requirements

• You will need a Vocational or Trade School degree ingeneral maintenance or three years of experience in carpentry, electrical orpainting work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with budgets helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in delivering preventivemaintenance for the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Perform repairs under the supervision of the MaintenanceDirector and within area of expertise including, mechanical, electrical,plumbing, carpentry, and painting and in accordance to accepted codes.
• Monitors and record building and watertemperatures and adjusts to meet regulations and safety codes.
• Ensure strict adherence to community fire safetyand hazardous chemical procedures, promptly address all unsafe conditions orequipment problems.
• Perform floor care on an ongoing basis,including carpeting in resident apartments and common areas of the community.
• Remove trash gathered by housekeepers andcaregivers on a daily basis.
• Maintain grounds in a professional, well-groomedmanner by performing grounds maintenance on a regular basis or working with alandscape company to maintain grounds in an appropriate manner.
