About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant at Chesapeake Place Senior Living is responsible for ensuring the completion of various maintenance tasks and work orders to maintain a safe and functional living environment for residents. This entry-level position involves assisting with move-in/out details, preparing and repairing rooms, and performing various repairs and maintenance duties as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Assisted living is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
• Degree or certificate from a two-year technical school program preferred.
• Must possess demonstrated success in a similar position.
• Valid First Aid Certification and valid Driver's License may be required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of work orders.
• Assist with move-in/out details.
• Prepare/repair rooms for resident use.
• Repair plumbing fixtures.
• Repair electrical apparatus.
• Repair appliances.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in floors.
• Perform door removal and installation.
• Repair door locks and make adjustments.
• Perform wall texturing, painting, wall repairs and wallpapering.
