About The Position

Legacy at Southpointe Drive is seeking a thorough Maintenance Assistant to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of an assisted living community. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, landscaping etc. A Maintenance Assistant is a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. This is a Part-Time opportunity for 24 hours per week!

Requirements

• Minimum (2) two years of related Facilities Maintenance experience in Senior Living, Hospitality or Multi Family.
• Some formal training in at least one of the following areas: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Appliance Repair, Remodeling.
• Ability to perform general maintenance repair needs.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Exceptional customer service skills and strong communication skills.
• Must possess own tools to perform daily maintenance tasks.
• Basic knowledge of Commercial building codes and OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
• Willingness to seek out new methods and incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.
• Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have valid state driver’s license.
