About The Position

The Maintenance Assistant/Painter at Waltonwood Providence is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of the community's facilities, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role focuses on creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff, while also providing support in various maintenance tasks and repairs. Requirements

• Familiarity with HVAC and electrical systems.
• Experience and/or formal training in an applicable trade.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Solution-oriented with a willingness to get the job done.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass the internal Maintenance Technician exam.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of maintenance experience (Preferred)
• 1 year of senior living experience (Preferred)
• HVAC certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance team with various tasks, including preparation of units and upkeep of models.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Prevent and remove hazards to staff, residents, and guests.
• Prepare units for new residents.
• Lead minor work orders including general repair tasks and paint touch-ups.
• Assist with technical issues in collaboration with IT.
• Maintain meticulous upkeep of the grounds and landscaping.
• Ensure the community is clean at all times, providing janitorial support when necessary.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
• Participate in the on-call rotation within the department.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director.
